Christopher Lee to Release Symphonic Metal Album
Posted by Jim on January 5, 2010 at 11:04 AM CST:

Just got this news alert from faithful ForceCast listener Jared from Texas about a certain Star Wars "Golden Throat":

Hey guys,
I was on Ultimate-Guitar.com and saw this news post:

Actor Christopher Lee, who has appeared in movies such as "Lord Of The Rings," "The Wicker Man," and "Star Wars," has announced he will be releasing a symphonic metal album under the title "Charlemagne." The album is focused on the story of King Charlemagne, the First Holy Roman Emperor.

You read it right! Christopher Lee is working on a metal album. And you know I'll buy it. (You do now, anyway) It should at least be a laugh, if not an actually awesome record.
...From what you guys have played of his...musical...escapades...I think I may need to keep my expectations reserved.

May the Force Be With You and Happy New Year,
Jared in TX

Thanks Jared! Yes, its true, we have featured tracks of Mr. Lee lending his famous baritone to symphonic metal before, such as his work with the Italian symphonic metal band, Rhapsody of Fire. But to get confirmation that we are mere months away from a complete album is very exciting news indeed for The Galaxy Of Music! Be on the lookout for the return of The Weekly ForceCast in a few weeks as we review tracks from the upcoming album.

"Charlemagne" will be released on March 15th. For more info, visit the Charlemagne / Christopher Lee MySpace HERE.

Too bad Attack of the Clones was not a musical. Think of the possibilities!
