I don't know about Fave Movie Icon award. What Harrison would certainly get is the 'grumpy old man' award - hands down!!!!

Hey Jason & Jimmy,

Just some quick thoughts on the latest roundtable:

I'm writing this as I'm listening to the roundtable where Jason is asking the question: What are we supposed to think about Order 66, that the clones are brainless automatons?

The point of the Krell episodes is that we are shown that NOT ALL clones follow orders directly as given: Jessie, Hardcase, and Fives all question Krell's orders and cause Rex to question the orders themselves and ultimately cause him to reevaluate his code.

BUT there are clones who stick to the rules vehemently regardless of anything else, i.e. Dogma. They stick to their indoctrinated dogma that the Kaminoan cloners programmed them with for the corrupt Jedi Order and Republic.

By the time of Order 66, those "free-thinking" clones are either dead, have already left because they questioned the system, or Order 66 is the moment they walk away from the newly-formed Empire.

Like Kyle says, it's a schism (for you X-men comic book fans, this is something that is a major topic in the books).

Anyhow, these episodes are more evidence of a growing split between the clones who follow and those who do not, ultimately cementing the Jedi's fate in Episode 3.

I do not subscribe to the theory that these episodes are the cause of the programming for Order 66.

If you go back to Season 2 and Brain Invaders, when the clones are under the control of the brain worms and they capture Barriss, one of the clones says, "If there's one thing we clones know how to do, it's stop Jedi." So obviously they're referring back to prior programming.

Great arc, lots of great discussion, I will be writing in soon with my thoughts on the latest episode: Kidnapped. ;)

Take care keep up the great work!

Hey guys,

I really enjoyed the last TCW Roundtable about the Krell arc. While I was listening, I actually had a theory as to why Darth Sidious chose the 501st. I agree with Kyle Newman that Order 66 was "pre-programmed" into the clones, but I think Sidious wanted to see who WOULD carry out the order if it was issued. I don't think it's a coincidence that Anakin/Vader led the 501st to the Jedi temple in ROTS. Sidious probably found out that the 501st had the ability to take out a Jedi if need be. Why else would the 501st be on Coruscant and not out in battle with the other clones under another general? They, along with Vader, took out the whole temple. I'm just curious if ONE of those clones will be Rex. Just wanted to put in my two cents!

May the Force be with you!

After seeing the Flintstones, I notice on the bottom left corner of the up coming movie of Gorge Lucas, Tar Wars. I don't know if you had noticed that. I just saw this recently.
